D7200 Video Shooting

When playing a video after shooting you can hear the camera focusing during the video. Is there a fine line to adjust the volume down so this is not picked up. i have only shot video hand held so keeping the subject in focus (shorebirds) so far is not always possible while its moving.

You just need to get a microphone off camera, away from the lens a bit, even on your own lapel is a major difference.
There's any number of $20 to $30 lapel condenser mics. One that I use and like well is Polsen OLM-10 Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone OLM-10 B&H

This one has a 20 foot cord, which can be handy, or it can be coiled up and put in your pocket.

Things may have improved since i made wildlife videos,in the end i gave up recording live sound due to external noises ie wind,people,cars and no matter where i was filming a plane came over,i recorded stock sound and laid it on later.
