First flash shots

These are my first try at still life with flash , all taken with two shoot thru brollies left and right
35mm 1.8d at f7 iso200 , should have been 100 but forgot to change

Whatever you're doing, keep doing it!

You might want to try some variation, though, just to test the boundaries. That way you'll know the range of light that you want, and you'll find your sweet spot to aim for. That will allow you to increase your abilities with different lighting situations, and you'll know what can and should not be done. Limits can be played with, and the results can be very artistic.

Are they too cluttered, maybe less a little tighter ? Or more content with a wider view , I like them myself but advice welcome

My personal favorite is the first shot. Nicely composed, no harsh flash shadows and it tells a story; "I like all sorts of fly fishing".
