I bought my first Nikon F from a Japanese exchange student in 1962, with the incomparable f1.4 lens. At that time I was in college, where I was in charge of photography for the college yearbook and newspaper. I've been a Nikon fan ever since, and now have a D7000. I don't do nearly as much photography as I used to, but still love to have a good camera and although I'm 74, I'm looking forward to getting back into doing more photography.

Welcome to you and your D7000. A lot of us old timers shoot with that camera. I must say that you have a lot of senority on me in the use of Nikons. Although I am near your age I did not get my first Nikon until 1982. Looking forward to your posts.

Welcome along! This is the place to be among fellow Nikon enthusiasts. Admittedly I'm a fresh Canon convert but I am very much glad that I made the switch.
