AF Tracking Settings for Airshow

I'm going to an airshow this evening with my D750 and 70-200 f/4 (probably not enough reach, will require heavy cropping in the post). Any recommendations on the settings? I'm thinking BBF, AF-C, 9-point dynamic area AF, S-mode with 1/1000s or 1/1500s.

I only use Manual mode. 1/1250-1/1600 for fast jets, 1/160-1/320th for props and helos dependent on how much prop blur you like, perhaps set to CH. Around f8, spot metering and auto ISO if you want an easier life, or choose your own! Not a BBF user, but many aviationists are

Thanks jay_dean. This airshow is mainly close-formation flying with turbojet engine planes. I think I'll start with S-mode, auto ISO and see what kind of exposure I'll get and go from there (I'm also thinking of f8 because it's within the sweet spot of the lens and it gives enough DOF). However, I probably feel more comfortable to use 9- or 21-point AF instead of spot metering for tracking.
