Face Priority AF

Just discovered that in Live View you get an extra AF option of Face Priority AF which if combined with Spot exposure ensures the face in a portrait shot is always in focus and correctly exposed.

Anyone used this option, I completely missed this till I saw a YouTube review.

I have this on my D750 and haven't used it yet. While I have my AF set to AF-C, when I switch to Live View, AF switches to AF-S with ability to scroll between face, wide, normal and subject tracking. I don't use live view much, so this feature will not get much use.

My portrait lens is manual so I have to do it the old-fashioned way.

I only use live when doing podded landscape or night-shots. Else it sees little use.

Thats why I missed it as like you I don't use LV when hand held, but will give it a try.
