Interesting article. Third party batteries seem to be fine. I've had more trouble with OEM batteries that turned out to be counterfeit.

I've had no trouble with Wasabi nor OEM batteries.(yet)

Big fan of the Wasabi battery, here... Never a problem with them over several years and a few different Nikon bodies.

I have a Wasabi battery for my D3200 that will not hold a charge. But it only cost me $16 so there really is no money lost. I just ordered another one so we will see if I just got a bad battery.
