newbie question

Hi all, i have just purchased a Nikon D3200, and when i turn it on it displays the info screen with apperture settings etc...i cannot work out how to make thaty go away and have the monitor display what can be seen thru the viewfinder...help?

There's a button on the back marked "LV" which enables live-view shooting. The moment you press that you switch from viewfinder to the LCD.

You should hear the mirror click the moment you press it.

thanks Jsee....i mastered that part, but in all the other cameras i hgave owned the default is to display the viewfinder and the monitor with the same image, ie what you can see, are you telling me this camera will only show one or the other at any given time?
