Hi,

Which focus mode and area would you use for group shots or shots with 2 or more people?
I usually have my camera in AF-S (single servo) and single point area mode.

Will this suffice with muliple people who are standing apart?
i.e. single focus on 1 person?
I dont see any other setting, as continuous wouldnt help me, the people will be more or less stationary for the time of the shot.

Thanks.

AF-S and single point focusing will work fine as long as the depth of field is sufficient to cover the group front to back. If it is a problem then use a higher f/stop number to increase the DOF. AF-S means when you press the shutter button half way down the camera will focus on the focus point. As long as you hold the the button half way down it will hold that focus point even if you move the camera to a new focus point. In the AF-C mode the camera will refocus on the new point. AF-S is the best one to use for groups.
