Another go with the P900

I wanted to see what I could get with an unobstructed vantage point so captured these images from the tower in Mt Auburn Cemetery to the Prudential building in Boston. The distance between the two locations is a little over five miles. While the zoomed image does look a bit flat it can be cleaned up as was done in the collage. I couldn't use a tripod, there were too many people wanting to get by so the best I could do was just brace myself and lean back against the wall.Tried to get some birds, so far am not quick enough but did manage to capture a yawning creature. Just a lucky shot since there was barely time to compose before releasing the shutter.

With any zoom approaching the size of that one you have to accept there will be loads of crap in the atmosphere, for long distance shots it will compress into your image causing degradation, the best test of image quality at full zoom is a small thing closer.
