First Nikon

Just received a D3300 for my birthday.
This is my first Nikon, having shot Pentax 35mm for years and Canon S2 IS for the last few years. This is my first DSLR.
I'll have a lot of questions one I start snapping some pictures. In the meantime, I'll just lurk around here to pick up some pointers.

Welcome to nikonites! I think you'll have a blast with your D3300! It was the D3100 that my wife gave to me that got me addicted to photography! :)

Well for my birthday present it was going to be a D7200.
But then changed my mind and went with the D 750.
To see if I'll like full frame.

Welcome aboard.

First thing that you must do is to install the View NX software which came with the camera. If CD is missing just download it.
Second thing is to download and install Nikon Capture NX-D RAW processing program. Shoot RAW and used NX-D to process the images. If you have never processed RAW, that is all the software you will need, at least for now.
