Glossary of terms?

I have just finished an enjoyable and frustrating journey through the "Before and after" thread. Enjoyable because of the terrific pictures and the amount that I learned. Frustrating because there were a great number of terms and expressions relating to post processing that I did not understand. So, I thought I would enumerate those terms here in the hope that all would be explained.

1. Lens correction
2. Gradient filters
3. Curving the RGB channel ( I do know what RGB is)
4. Sharpening using a mask ( I do know what sharpening is)
5. A/D conversion of RAW ( I do know what RAW is)
6. D R range
7. Masking
8. Lens profile
9. Cam neutral
10. Median stacking

5. A/D conversion of RAW ( I do know what RAW is)
Need more context for this question. RAW is already digital, so don't know how you can use analog to digital conversion on somethings thats already digital. The camera sensor does the initial conversion from analog light to digital raw data.

6. D R range
