Work shoot this morning

Well today I went up in this.
I could have been greedy and went by myself, but I invited two work mates along.

The aim was to take some aerial site photos.

Even managed some Panoramas from the air.

Then we went for a bit of a scenic flight

It is an Uranium mine, we stopped last year and the pit is being filled.
We are still processing stockpile but are also waiting on approval for an underground project to go ahead. We have done the exploration drive which goes down about 1.5km at a 6-1 grade.

Is it that big grey hill that's going back into the pit?

Great shots BTW. Everything looks so very different from above. You really get an idea of the scale of these mines from above.

Yes some of that is going back into the hole, by the end it will all be flat.
