pre wedding shoot pics...

So each bride that books more than 8 hrs wedding coverage gets a free pre wedding shoot. This is a fun time where we go and get some nice casual pics with them.

Did a shoot last night and OMG the sunset was to die for. There was a bush fire a little way east of where we were shooting and the breeze all day had taken the smoke out over the ocean... the drama in the sky was amazing. Could have stayed out there all night.

Sorry for the facebook compression on these...

Did you use a yellow filter for your flash or just TTL? Nice job BTW. :)

No flash filters used. I was using 2 flashes with shoot through umbrella's.
Flashes were set at 1/2 power for this shot I think. Started off at 1/1 at the start of the shoot and lowered as the sun got lower and lower.

Adjusted white balance in PP back to make his t-shirt white.

We will start burning off in the coming months and should get some amazing skies like those. Nothing better than a smokey sky to add to the scene.

Great shots Kevin

Great shots Kevin! Was showing the wife last night, now I think she wants to scrap all our vacation plans and head to Australia for those scenes! :)

I have updated the initial post to include the exif info...

Thanks! Just took a look and am amazed especially since most of them were shot at f/2.8. The people should be incredibly pleased with your results! :)

It's probably quite 1 dimensional of me, but I rarely, if ever, shoot anything other than f/2.8 and if I do, it would be f/4.0.
