This is fx without crop, shot with 60mm and 2x tc on D700.

Would like to see how much less will fill your frame. I know many of you can beat this. Is it possible to get just the camera icon to fill an entire fx sensor?

Yes, it's possible. You just need the right gear. My best is roughly 15.7:1.

This is the letter "D" from a US bill......

...from the text, "This note is legal tender....." in the upper left.

I used a Tokina 17/3.5, reversed on a PB-6 bellows at max 236mm extension, with an additional 68mm of extension with a set of Kenko tubes. The vignetting is a result of a step-down ring between the lens and the bellows.

Amazing stuff. Such a clean and crisp shot.

Paper is paper, whether cotton or wood. If a focus stack was necessary, then it would be safe to assume the depth of focus is close to one micron as ink "generally" is between 1 and 3 microns on paper.
