I think I got a good deal on my D60, and my Sony A55 was practically free, but now that I am eyeing zoom lenses for the D60 my wallet is whimpering.

Welcome!! I'm new as well. What kinda photography are you wanting to get into with the zoom lens? I'm looking at getting one as well, but I'm looking for something specifically for shooting waterfowl. So I'll probably have to take out a freakin mortgage!!


Can't shoot 'em where they ain't.

I'm basically a hobbyist. Woods, mountains, beaches, ghost towns, urban decay if I can find it without getting arrested.
