Tips on hummingbirds

I have two lovely hummingbirds that visit my humming bird feeder! But the problem is that I can not seem to get a photo of them. Any tips. They fly away every time I try and snap a photo...even with my 18-200 lens on they always see me move to grab my camera which is by my side! THIS IS MY NEW CHALLENGE!

Two words: tripod and remote. Hummingbirds are camera shy, and are easily spooked. They are typically crepuscular like rabbits, meaning they are most active around sunrise and sunset. They seem to like the food when it is fresh prepared, when it's most potent smelling.

Set your camera up on a tripod relatively close to the feeder, no more than 10 feet away. I was able to sit on my back porch and take photos of them with a wireless remote, but you have to remain almost motionless.
