Nikon 35mm F1.8G "Problem" crooked aperture

I bought this lens a few days ago from Best Buy, I can return it if I need to. Today I was playing with it and saw the aperture mechanism crooked. I haven't used this lens much so I don't know if this will cause problems on my pictures/videos later on.

Is this normal? my kit lens is even all the way around, but on this 35mm lens the aperture mechanism is crooked and it moves smooth. before I take it back I would like to know if you have one of this lenses, and see if yours is the same. I used to own the 50mm version and had no problems with it.

Thanks

Hey, you might become famous for your 'crooked bokeh' images.

Then you could license the idea to Lens Baby for a 'Crokeh' lens and sit back while the royalties pour in.

Returned the 35mm and got me the 50mm instead. I had no problem with 35mm lens as far pictures, the pictures looked fine.
