Hello! long story short - love photography, used to work in Meijer photo lab YEARS ago "testing" all of the new stuff as it came in *wink* ( before digital ) got a Nikon D60 for European Vaca - took sons senior pictures in 2010 - parents of his friends saw them, asked how much I charge - which I had NO experience besides just playing around. Add 8 years and Now... I photograph anything from dust bunnies and coffee cups ;) , seniors, weddings, and birthing ! I LOVE IT ! Currently I have 3 cameras..Nikon - D40 D60 and a D5100 However I want to upgrade - a D7100 was where I am leaning.. Thoughts?

Howdy and welcome to Nikonites!

I'm particularly fond of the D7100 myself, having migrated that way after starting with the D5300 as my first DSLR. Working with the D5100 today ... having that second command wheel to avoid going into the menus could be a similar benefit for you as it was for me.
