Nikon 1 video help please

Did a couple of short videos today but the disc i got with my V2 (short movie creator) will not load,i can view it in NX2 but of course it will not play in anything else,i dont know if the program that came with it will convert it as i cant download a copy its only available for sale.
I could do with a safe free program to convert the files into a more useful format. (windows 8.1 user)

The native video format from a Nikon 1 V2 is MOV. MOV is an MPEG 4 video container file format used in Apple's Quicktime program. Lightroom or VLC will play it.

Thanks i can play it but i wanted to convert for others or you tube and perhaps replace the sound track,i dont have lightroom and not sure what LVC is so i guess i dont have that.
If i could get it into something simple like movie maker it would be best for me.
