Ring lights for bridge camera?!

Hiya, I am a complete photography novice so please humour me! I desperately need advice on a ring light, I know they are mostly for DSLR cameras but can you get them for a bridge camera? (Nikon coolpix L830)? And how do they connect/work? I can see that they fit different lens sizes and attach to a hot shoe (I don't think my camera has a hot shoe?) but I am completely stuck! I've searched all over the internet and cannot find an answer. I just want a continuous ring light for beauty pictures/videos. Any help would be so appreciated! Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forum,if your talking about a light rather than a flash and your camera has a filter screw to hold the light the battery pack/control box could sit on one of these.

your camera does not have a hot shoe. You would really need a separate external light and power supply. Probably sitting on a light stand would be your best bet.

You camera is just not set up for doing what you are wanting to do.

Welcome to the forum,if its a light rather than a flash it does not communicate with the camera,the light is continues and you make a normal exposure.
