Trying out Lightroom 3 and not sure what I am doing yet. Are there any good guides online?

Yes, there are. Just go on YouTube and search for Lightroom 3 tutorials. Or......do a Google on the same.

I took a class at the local Comm College back whe LR-2 came out, but the videos mentioned by jack also helped.

Try searching Julienne Kost. She does mostly LR3 stuff in Adobe TV.
