back button focus

I had my D7100 set on back button focus. Today it did not work. I had to use the shutter button
for it to work. So what would cause it to change?

Does it change if you press the AE-L/AF-L button and turn a command dial??

No it does not change.

All I can tell you is to go back and reset the camera to original settings, then set it up for bbf again. Or just check your settings to begin with and make sure they are set up correctly for bbf. That would be the easiest approach.

I had it set up my doing what was said in video for bbf?

If you are using your U1/2 memory settings and you change them it will do this.
