Sony is dumping Canada

It's more like Canada is dumping Sony, along with Target. When people don't shop at your store because they can get the same thing online or at another store for less, that is what happens. I really don't think anyone will miss the boutiques. ;)

Sony, at one time, had a few stores in Winnipeg, and I rather enjoyed dealing with them for their solid product knowledge. In more recent years, I found products more to my liking elsewhere, and at some point Sony closed all their stores in this city. I thought that was already the case right across Canada, and didn't realize they still had any retail operations.

It's surprising how quickly your perception of a brand can do a 180!

but a $2 billion loss across the board is quite a hit globally. The sensor division seems to be the only dept. making money. Not good for us Sony lovers. I guess it could be spun off though.
