Trouble with rain and Nikon 1 V2

Can anyone please tell me if the v2 is supposed to be waterproof. Used new one in the rain yesterday now have dark patches under the screen.....Thank you

Not sure of your circumstances, but I'd check with Nikon about a possible warranty claim. Perhaps they will work with you.

Thank you for your replies, I was just out walking with the V2 as I always am, and took a few shots. when I arrived home I noticed there were dark patches on the inside of the screen. I am used to using a D7000 or D90, so haven't come across the problem before, or even thought about it.

Thank you, only had it a week, my manual is in German, although I do have one on disc.

Just following on, I contacted the German company I purchased the V2 from, they said it is the fault of the camera, send it back, they will replace it, and refund the postage. Result.......
