Buying a Tamron 70-200 2.8 non VC

I'm considering buying this lens for $450 in very good condition. After looking at eBay prices I've almost talked myself into buying it. Just wondering if this was a really good deal or if anyone thought I could get it cheaper somewhere else. I only ask because it's hard for me to part with so much money. Any advice would be helpful!
