D3200 not outputting HDMI when not recording

Hello, I hope this is in the correct forum. I would like to live stream video using an HDMI video capture device but it seems that d3200 does not output HDMI when it's not actually recording. Can this be changed?

Sorry you haven't had a reply - I don't own a D3200, and don't really use the HDMI output on my D7100 - But my understanding is that it is only so you can use a monitor while live view is active. I don't think you can use it to replay the videos after. To replay them, you would need to pop out the memory card and use a laptop / tablet
