How a photo is really a good photo in terms of clarity?

Hello,

Slowly i am building my portfolio, browsing tons of photos and post-processing them. Question, when i see one of my photos i said "wow, this is a really good photo" but when i zoom in completely i see lots of noise, like blurry or pixelated so i decide to discard it.

Thoughts...!

Thanks a lot, G

Yeah I have lots of them! I guess they are ok in a portfolio until you need to show them at a size that exposes the flaws - I just keep mine for my own viewing pleasure, I also add a brief description of what I think I did wrong in the metadata for future reference, although I got no idea why I would want to look at all my poorly focussed images!

Honestly, take better focused ones, especially if they're for a portfolio. I'll define folio though- quality of work you're trying to sell, since you're competing against thousands who probably have at least the focus and other kinks perfectly ironed out.
