Night Time Videos of Christmas Lights

Hello everyone! I asked a similar question in my intro a while back, but wanted to ask in a new thread. I need suggestions for camera settings. I'm using a D3300 with the 18-55 lens. I have a Christmas display were the lights are sequenced to the music you can hear on your cars radio. The lights are always fading up and down or blinking. Any suggestions on where I should start with my setting to get some decent video? Thanks!

M mode, use a tripod if possible, 1/40 - 1/60, largest aperture possible or use a prime lens to help lower your ISO. adjust ISO as necessary and use an external mic for stereo.
