Psychedelic Christmas lights

A different look at my Christmas tree.

Nice zoom blur effect. While I don't usually like these kind of images, this one is good with the strong colours, albiet a little shaky on the zoom.

This is the first time I took a picture like this. Only after several attempts I realised how difficult it is to do a smooth zoom - this is actually the smoothest out of a dozen or so shots. The camera was on the tripod, but it is just not stiff enough to hold it perfectly still while rotating the zoom barrel. Needs some practice! I got better results when I started zooming before I opened the shutter and continued after it was closed.
