Hey everyone my D3100 isn't allowing me to view pictures that I take. I take a picture but nothing comes up on the screen except black and nothing else. It worked just fine when I originally got the camera but its not anymore. Any idea of what could be causing my cameras display to not work after taking a new picture?

Have you checked to see if it is really taking a photo by removing the SD card and checking it in the computer?

If you press the menu button, do you get the menu on the lcd display? If not, then it's probably the screen that has a virus/broken. If you do, you should go into the <review" menu and see if you haven't turned image review "off" by mistake.

Are they fine when you upload them to the computer?
Then maybe you have some settings wrong and are underexposing.
Put it on P mode and take some shots from bright objects. See what that does.
Upload one of those black shots here, maybe the EXIF shows something.
