Anyone use a 70-200mm f2.8 with you D5200?

I'm kicking around what lens to get for fast indoor action shots. Guy at local photo shop said I need this lens and he could sell me a refurbished one for around $700. He didn't say what brand. Does anyone use this lens and what do you think of it?

Sounds like a Tamron or Sigma for that $. Still nice glass.

I use the Sigma 70-200 on my D5200. Very nice combination. I recently bought the 2x Sigma converter for it. With that you need good light but for just the 70-200mm, excellent lens. You'll love it. Do you shoot wildlife or birds?

Sorry for the late reply, I shoot everything, I hunt, 3 daughterrs in 3 different sports. The reason why I wanted this was the f2.8 because inddoor gyms don't allow you to usse flash and my pics are coming out blurry unless I get still shots

The 2.8 will help, but I can only speak on behalf of the nikon 2.8, the newest one, vrii.

I've got a 2.8 VRII. Works great.
