Great place... who does your carpets?

Hi... new user here from Houston, Texas.

I am a Software Developer who took up photography a few years ago and I have had the awesome luck to get hired on the side for photography gigs at musical events and travel publications. I started this path with my Nikon D3100 (which is still precious to me) and have recently graduated to a D7000.

I am always open to other people's critiques and suggestions to improve my craft so please feel free to slam me if I need a good slamming. I will not be offended or resentful. Maybe a little bit embarrased for needing the slamming in the first place, but well... that's another story.

I hope to learn from everyone here.

Howdy Mike from another Texan! I live up in Dallas, but have been commuting to Houston fairly regularly the past month or so (for the first time again since the early 2000's when that was my regular territory). Welcome to Nikonites!
