Looks interesting. Looks like the YN560 would be the one to get for the Nikons.

Any idea of the retail price?
On paper, these always look good, but after a year's use, sometimes you only get what you've paid for.

Marcel - no price yet.
But I have a first hand experience on Yongnuo Flashes.
I have 4 YN460 ( Flash YN-460) and it has served me well until now.
Its just $50 each.

Did you get them in Canada? Where?

It was last year, I was still in the Philippines during that time. But I brought all my stuff here in Australia, including my light stands and light modifiers

Question from a D3100 user, how do I get commander mode. I have been all over my camera and can not find it.

The D3100 does not come with a Commander Mode. You must use the SU-800 for off camera flash.

So the tape over 95% of the pop up trick is the only way to go.

Commander mode is not available on the D3100. Its only from models D80 up.

I believe the D70/D70s came with Commander Mode, too.

What do you mean by "tape over the pop-up"?
to trigger other flashes?

Yes, I think so too.

I'm planning of getting the YN560. Has anybody done any review?

There is no commander mode on that model, I don't?
Try looking under backer/flash,if it's not there then you don't have it?
You will have to maybe pick up a radio trigger.

I've just received mine and I'm very happy. You'll read some bad bad reviews, non-functional zoom and sound alert but these are for older models. Yongnuo have released a new version this year that has resolved these issues. The 2011 model has a metal hotshoe foot, whereas the older models have an all plastic foot.

What about the Meike MK930? Has anyone looked at this. Meike claim it is like a SB-900 which i doubt but just wondering. I use one of their battery grips and it is totally fine.
