I have a Nikon 10.5 2.8 fisheye and it has a white ring behind the front element, the hood also has a chip, I know the repair is gonna cost quite a bit so I'm wondering if anyone has seen this issue with the white ring ? Is it worth it to get it fixed if The lens works 100% anyways?

white ring? maybe the coatings have rubbed off a bit? I didnt have a white ring but the front element of my sigma 15mm fisheye has the coatings come off from wiping it too much. it cost quite some bucks to have that fat element replaced. my friends 10.5 has a chipped hood as well. keeps shooting like regular. you see anything bad in the IQ you shoot?
