D7000 or D300s

I would go for the D7000, I just got mine a few weeks ago fantastic camera body. I had looked at the D300s, but went with the D7000 after comparing. check on line, go with the D7000.

Depends on your needs.

The D7000 is a great camera, with lots of features, for a great price.
The D300s is a bit more feature laden, with less megapixels - but you don't really *need* them to make quality images. The sensor in the D300 and D300s is more than adequate.

It's discussed and debated to death all over the internet. Both are great products! Just depends on what you'll be doing with it!

I'd say picture quality is probably very similar. The D7000 is a little bit lighter so if you want a camera to take along most of the time while traveling, this could be a good thing.
D300s might be a little more rugged and better weather sealed.
Like John said, "depends on your needs".
