The photographer came first, he just did not know it because he had not yet invented the photograph. he just had a burning desire to have others see thru his eyes.

The photograph was always there. As soon light came to being, whether it was the "let there be light" thing, or the big bang, or whatever you believe in, as soon as there was light the photograph was there for the taking.

Ahh, the SCENE was there, but not the photo. Photograph = An image, especially a positive print, recorded by a camera and reproduced on a photosensitive surface (and/or stored digitally) :)

Thinking more timeless than history might permit.

I imagine that the photograph and the photographer exist at the same moment and neither can exist without the other.

The photograph inspired the photographer inspired the photograph inspired the photographer inspired the photograph inspired the photographer inspired the photograph...................

The photograph has always existed. It's just sitting there waiting for the right photographer to come along and make it.
