Life on stilts

As posted on a previous thread this is a photo of some French men keeping a tradition alive. The area where they came from was a wetland and the only animals that could live there were sheep and the shepherds as well as the ordinary folk walked and worked all their lives on stilts.

That is very weird!

I'm thinking domino's if one starts to topple.

Whats amazing is that to impress the girls they actually ran on the stilts and I didnt see one fall.

So are all their doorways 12 feet tall?

No their houses were on stilts and apparently they would just walk up to the house and step off the stilts ( undoing them first ).
