In actual field-use, this is an excellent lens. I really enjoy using mine and the results it produces.

Thanks for the info. The largest I have now is 18-300 and it does decent job but there are times I would like to have closer clearer photos of the birds and cannot get close enough.
It is so expensive that am waiting to see I my son can get it while on his trip to Japan in couple of weeks at better price. Love your photos!
