View finder problem

When I look down in my view finder, with lens directed to a light source I see the top of the image reversed. Call Nikon it was normal but I do not remember seeing it before. If anyone could verify this I would greatly appreciate it. While looking through view finder point camera towards light source tilt camera up and down keeping your eye looking straight ahead. Do you see reversed reflection at bottom of view finder. Thanks in advance for assistance.

You don't see this if you look through the viewfinder in a normal way, right?
If I tilt my camera to an extreme, like 45 degrees upward, I can catch a glimpse of something at the very bottom of the viewfinder. You are looking into a prism, if you tilt the camera enough you could be looking at the edge of the bottom of the prism rather than the opposite side.
There is a diagram in this article:
Understanding Viewfinders
If everything is good when you look straight in, I wouldn't worry about it.
