Long exposure

I think we need a thread for 'daytime' long exposures as not all long exposures are done in low light. Here I am experimenting with Baadar Solar film, its ND 10 'ish and this is a 30sec exposure at f/2.8 in part shade. PS I need to iron out the wrinkles but it was an experiment.

Rivers, waterfalls and coastal shots are covered in existing threads I think where people do long exposures to get the smoothing effect on the moving water.
Not sure what this experiment was trying to capture is it the flickering light

What is Baadar solar film?

I have been wanting to do some daylight long exposure shots so I will keep an eye on this thead and post my own experiments

Baader film is used in astronomy to look at the sun through a telescope - The film is used to make a filter which fits over the end of the telescope and drastically reduces the amount of light entering the optics.

Since you can buy the film pretty cheaply, I guess its a good way of making your own ND filters!

It looks like a picture through a bullet hole window.

My first attempt at a daytime long exposure. 60 sec F 11 ISO 100 with a 10 stop ND filter.
