Cleaning Your Camera - Do it right and you may be cleaning your sensor less often

With the myriad, "Is this dust or oil?" and "How do I clean my sensor?", questions that pop up here I was thinking about putting together a post on how to best avoid getting your sensor dirty. And while I may still do that, this post from Digital Camera is a good start to learning how to best keep your camera as clean as possible.

Best method: Don't buy a camera.

My method is to simply not worry about it. Dust is a fact of life when owning a DSLR. Just like oil changes for a car..... you're gonna have to eventually clean your sensor.

I don't see anything in that article about using the "Pot Srubber" cycle on the dishwasher.

I've been using Cascade with Jet-Dry so my camera comes out sparkling clean without those embarrassing water spots. Is that wrong? Should I not be doing that?
