D300s sell off!?!?

I notice that Jessops in the UK are selling the Nikon D300s now for just over £1000, INC. free ‘next day’ delivery!
This seems like a big push to off-load the D300s. Does this mean a new arrival is coming soon!?!?

Not surprising as Nikon keeps to a pretty predictable product schedule. We should see most of the pro and semi-pro models replaced this calendar year.

What does 1000 pounds translate to in American/Canadian dollars? Probably about $3000, right? I'm just guessing.

Actually Jack, it is $1624.30-ish in USD. $1602.99 in CAD....I have not seen a new 300s kit for anywhere near that price around here. Heck, the bodies are still selling for $1500-ish in most places. Lowest I have seen a body was $1399 online...for new, non grey market.

Joe, you cheated! You used a monetary conversion program! Yeah, so $1600-ish, right? Seems a little high to me. Around here, slightly used ones are going for anywhere from $800 to just over $1,000.

Sounds promising!! I am ready to upgrade my D90 now to the new DX model, (after spending over £5000 on new Nikon Pro glass! – presuming the Mrs will still let me!?!? Hahaha)
