Stupid me forgot to even take a snap to be sure when I flipped through it at Costco today, but after some digging and lack of the back cover image ANYWHERE online, I do believe this was the one:

Basically, a very extensive compilation of all the gear reviews and comparisons, skills, etc from most issues of N-Photo. I would HIGHLY recommend this to all of our beginners!

Looks like it might be similar to the Nikon Field Guide by Tom Hogan that I used back in the dark (room) ages.

Probably. If anything I enjoyed the way N-Photo staff did their tips, basics, and reviews every issue, so a compilation sure beats digging through all the issues for something specific.
