Why is it??

Why is it, that when I find the perfect lighting and the perfect angle of view of a church (for example) that I've been scouting for that perfect time - and there's a powerline obstructing the view?? Drives me crazy!

Because overhead power lines are cheaper to install and maintain than underground ones.

I share your frustration. Power lines are the bane of photography just about anywhere...

Thanks be to photoshop, sometimes can take a little time but if the shot is worth it that's time well spent.

I agree it annoying! Was the power line there when you scouted the church? I am trying to teach myself to look "wider" than the frame I'm trying to capture as I normally get home before I notice these things!

--- Well, yes the power lines were there when I scouted it. But it was a night shot and the light was just perfect. Yes "Photoshop"!

Sooner or later, you have to learn Photoshop.....
