Well for a landscape photo this was all wrong

F/1.4 BAD
S/S 1/2000 BAD
50mm ok
Handheld 20 image stitch BAD

Thanks Dave, I used the AF-ON and focussed on the far right and just worked my way across with out refocussing. I am happy how it turned out especially at f/1.4

WOW, that's a cool pic. For all the "wrong" settings, it came out quite nice!

I wanted to enhance the storm thats why I used the high Aperture, I like the look.

This is a really great shot Scott. Now I wonder... were these 20 D800E shots? If so, how long did it take the computer to stitch them?

Yes it was 20 odd images from the D800E, and which time are you talking about the 2 times when I ran out of HDD space or the third time . I think it took around 40mins to an hr lol

Haha it wasn't even using 30% CPU usage, just running out of space in RAM and thats with 32GB.

I taught him all he knows, except that bit about memory. He fudged that himself.

So Scott, how did you set this up? What lens were you using? How did you plan the pano (how many vertical shots? How many rows? In which order?)
And last, how large is the final Tiff of PSD file?
