I shot this on a trip to Alaska on a cruse. This is Hubbard Glacier which was one of several the boat stopped by for us to see. I happened to have the camera pointed in the right direction when the calve broke off and splashed in the sea. I thought the colors in the ice were fantastic. I always thought that glacier ice was white. I found out that the light is refracted by the ice and turns it blue.
