I was able to try out the D3s at night during a try out game. Nothing spectacular but I like the image output of this combo with the Nikon 70-200mm f2.8VRII. Time was around 10:30 PM. Feedback are always welcome.

1. M mode @130mm, 1/200, f2.8, ISO 3,600

That is such a hard scenario to shoot and freeze everything. I typically try to keep my shutter around 500, but with my current setup i get noise which is why I want the 70-200 2.8.

Look good Glenn, its hard to catch the ball on the bat isn't it. I have one out of several hundred shots with the ball on the bat. I really enjoy shooting baseball the most.

It is a little difficult to time it but I'm sure the pros who does this for a living knows how to time it. I was shooting in focus priority and might try shutter priority next time.

How does your D3S compare to your D800E? Which one do you honestly enjoy more?

Two different personality. For lower ISO, single fps and RAW file manipulation, the D800e wins it.

when it comes to fps and slightly higher ISO, the D3s has the obvious edge.

I was shooting one of the runners from 2nd base to the 3rd base, running towards me, and I was very impressed on how the D3s nailed the shots at higher FPS.

Edit: I would add that the D3s of course have the better weather sealing and built based on my experience. LOL!
