White Heron - Taking Off, Wings Spread

Was chanced upon this lovely white heron, who was actually hanging out with a grey heron (as you can see in the video below), here in South Holland when I was able to grab this shot with my Nikon D7000 with a Sigma 50/500 lens. The first one as the second picture, is far from 100% perfect, but that is when I really realized how difficult capturing birds in flight is. Couple that with the importance, of course, of the settings for the given conditions... (Tips on settings and what not, ALWAYS welcomed!) This all said, I was ecstatic with the moment and was glad just to be able to get off a few shots of this lovely, large bird:

Thank you Roy1961, it was a pleasure to be there, yet alone get some resemblance of a reproduction of the moment. Right, it is a great white egret, which we also call a white heron. A lovely sight.
