Do you use a tablet?

If so, what brand and model?

After attending a Kelby Training event in Covington, KY last Friday, I have decided I should get one.

I have the Bamboo Tablet - the big one that they sell, and it works wonderfully...as a cat pad when the cat jumps up on my desk.

Seriously, it works great, and I've used it on more than several occasions. :)

I use a Wacom Bamboo tablet, and it's great. I'm left-handed, so it's really useful for doing detail work that is awkward for a mouse.

The tablet arrived, and I think I'm going to have a bit of a learning curve.

The build quality is decent, the installation procedure isn't bad, etc.

But I need to learn to use it now :)

Just an FYI:

We had a technology briefing @ work. There are some new tablets scheduled to hit the shelves this spring/summer that will compete directly with the iPad. Tablets are the next "great new thing" and will be replacing netbooks and will slowly erode the laptop market over the next couple of years. Our days of using a keyboard are going bye-bye.

If you've been itching to get an iPad, just wait a few more months. Apple won't be the only kid on the block for much longer.
