Lightroom Backups

When doing some back ups todayI just noticed my Lightroom catalog backups continues to grow. It is now over 2 GB and I was wondering if I can delete the earlier ones and just keep the most recent. It appears the longer you use it the bigger in HD usage for these backups.

What are all the rest of you doing.

I delete them from time to time. Keeping the last 4 weeks or so. I have a daily backup, no problem to restore them again.

You can reduce your catalog size by decreasing the amount of time that previews are kept. The trade off is speed because you may wind up waiting for LR to render previews.
